Re: Welcome!  (United States)

I just came upon this website and, being a Lupton, decided to try the use of a family forum. My family is from Winchester, VA, and my dad, Ed Lupton is the son of James R Lupton Sr and Margaret Roberts Lupton. If anyone is out there in this family, please respond. CU on the Web, bonniejusa

Re: Welcome!  (United Kingdom)

Hello everyone - I'm a Lupton living about 30 miles away from the place called Lupton in UK, which I believe is the origin of many of our forefathers. My Lupton family has lived in the Lancashire / Yorkshire area for three centuries.

Just thought I'd say hello to all the Luptons around the globe!

Re: Welcome!  (United Kingdom)

just found this website, I am also a Lupton by marriage, and my husbands family come from Nether Kellet, Carnforth which is also near to Lupton, Carnforth in UK.

I have tried to do a genealogy search on his family, but cannot get past his dad William Lupton born in Over Kellet - 7 August 1904 - who had several half brothers of different names, so unable to go any further with searches.

no info from other family members as he was very secretive about his past (most who have been through the two wars don't talk about it very much) and no records kept when he died.

perhaps we could be related? who knows?
